SUPER Eagles of Nigeria defender, Ola Aina has named former Manchester United and Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo as the toughest opponent he has ever faced.
Aina, who plays for Premier League club Nottingham Forest as a wing back revealed this during a quick-fire question session shared by Nottingham Forest’s social media page.
When asked the toughest player he has ever faced, Ola Aina, without much hesitation said, “Cristiano Ronaldo.”
Ola Aina came face to face against the five-time Ballon d'Or winner during their time in the Italian league Serie A in which Ronaldo played for Juventus while Aina was at Torino.
During the various encounters, Cristiano Ronaldo had the upper hand against Ola Aina as he scored three goals against the Torino defender in four meetings.
Surprisingly, both players never crossed paths in the Premier League during Ronaldo's second spell at United as Ola Aina joined Nottingham Forest after the Portuguese had left for the Saudi league.
