How Idimu flood killed secondary school girl

RESIDENTS have not ceased to cry out over the endless flooding in Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Alimosho local council due to poor drainage systems, which have allegedly claimed the lives of commuters, residents and school-children.

The report first reached AlimoshoToday through the Double Title Chief of Idimu, Chief Sarumi of Idimu land. 

The chief, while reporting the poor state of roads and drainages in Oke-Idimu area of Egbe-Idimu LCDA, bitterly lamented the death of a secondary school girl, Halimat, who was killed by the flood on her way to Olorunfunmi Junior Grammar School.

According to the Chief, Halimat before her death lived on Olugoke Palace Way in Oke-Idimu.

Another High Chief, Alhaji Fatai Eto of Idimu land, while confirming the worrisome incident said: "The flood dragged Halimat many miles down the road before hitting her head on a pavement and killing the young girl."
